i want to change this earth in a positive way, doesn't have to be a huge way though. I want to do so much good that people around me start doing good. This earth is far from perfect, what could i do to get it closer to perfect
Ex. protest animal testing, recycle, run/ ride bicycle instead of driving car............ you get the point

Be nice. Be active, openminded and dont lose the sight that others may still perceive what you are doing as something bad.
Volunteer at a senior meals project, become a mason or a shriner, both are very giving organisations...
get envoloved with your town rec department and or the boys and girls club. there are also other things to do with in your local highschools... just ask!

One of the best things you can do is improve the lives of other people. Have you ever visited a nursing home? So many of those people never have family visit, and they are so terribly lonely that that they lose hope.
It's a real shame, too--they have wonderful stories & memories of the "old days". Go visit them,tell them you are writing a book, and ask for their best Christmas memory or something. It will be the thrill of their month!
Or go visit a children's hospital, and read to them, or play board games.
Volunteer at a soup kitchen, collect food for a food pantry, man a suicide hotline, hand out gloves & hats to street people.
We all share humanity--and we all need friendship, compassion, and love. If every person gave just a little, so many people's life would be that much brighter!
Bless your heart for caring....it seems sometimes that nobody really does, anymore.

well u can do more volenteer work and an animal saftey program and a fund raiser for the endangered species. you can protest against cutting down trees and using animals in ways that can hurt them. you can also protest against putting oil companies near ponds those are some of the major things that u can do to make a difference

RECOGNISE EVIL.
That's what you must do. there is too much of evil, malice, spite, hatred, jealousy, intolerance in this world.
the good, positive people must change this.
you have to CONVERT evil people with the message of LOVE, tolerance,happiness, peace...
first make sure of what YOU have to do for YOURSELF, then follow the same path to conquer the world.
I dont have money to give to charity and in the small place where i live in India, there are no volunteer services that I can do, but I have found my true vocation in YAHOO ANSWERS...sounds strange? but its true...i try to help people who suffer from their own emotions, try to bring together brothers with brothers and kids with dads.i try to spread the message of LOVE, i tell people about reiki, yoga, meditation, the imp of relationships.
you know its so sad, out there in the west, divorce rate is 80 %. imagine! in india, marriage is a sacred bond.
the bestseller the monk who sold his ferrari, well, its main fundas, any 10 yr old indian will tell you.
but, i know, i have a long way to go...
my friend, riding a bicycle will help, BUT NOT THAT MUCH. your heart is good, pls try to find out more (learn abt reiki, try to read many lives many masters by dr brian weiss, try to log onto www.sahajayoga.org and then, click on, experience it now) and then make a REAL difference to the world.

Join a voluteer group. One that helps clean up the community. Plant a tree they are our oxygen source. Get involved in community projects. Every little bit helps. Donate to your local shelters, help out the churches that run community kitchens, the list goes on and on. Kudos to you for caring! Hope this helps.

Try Big Brothers Big Sisters, i volunteer one hour per week and it is very rewarding. You can also volunteer at animal shelters, churches, homeless shelters (especially around the holidays).

try by helping the homeless of the city you are in. that would be helpful try and get funds for them to eat or something. i am not sure how you would go about it but that is one way to help the people. good luck

Change your light bulbs to the new florescent compact bulbs. Not only will you make less green house gases but your electric bill will be smaller

Volunteer at a shelter or church to help homeless or abuse people . Collect money for these shelters and spread the word to stop abuse .
