I want to know what Assault 2 really means in the state of Washington. I want to know what measures to become Assault 2, in comparison to Assault 1 and 3. Is there a place that I can look to understand the details also? I want detail if I could be so bold. Thank you.

The diferences between the 3 assault charges deals with intent, the amount of physical injury, and whether or not a weapon was used. And also, who was injured. There are a few different combinations. A simple fight for example is usually assault 3 because there was intent, to cause physical injury, but no weapon. Assault 2 would be charged if a weapon was used, or if there was serious physical injury. Physical injury, is a bruise or a small cut, a serious physical injury, may be a broken bone, serious cut or gash, anything that could last a lifetime or be maiming. Hope that helps.
