A lap dance (nude or clothed--depends on regulations) is preformed while straddling the customer's lap. A nude dance is done on stage or on a table.

In most places, it is illegal to touch the dancer during both, except to tip.

How is this applicable to Dining Out in Los Angeles? Do restaurants there include strippers?

Lap dances occur (as one would expect) on one's lap. The person may or may not be clothed to some extent. Nude dancing is more likely to be on a stage or away from direct contact with the observers, and if of course done sans clothing.

However if someone gives you a lap dance, and is wearing no clothes, then they would be the same thing (nude dance/lap dance)

It depends on where you are - in Canada the strippers tend to take everything off while on stage and while doing lap dances where as in the US I've found that they only go topless and to get the bottoms off is a differnt thing. I'm guessin you're in the US, in which case a lap dance would only be topless and nude dance would be completely nude. In Canada, they're pretty much the same thing - only a guess, I don't really frequent the ballet very often at all.

Lap dances are done with an outfit of some sort on. Touching depends on the rules of the club,

other dances, besides lap, are most often done on a stage,,,, away from the customers, i would assume that would include a nude dance,,,,, lapdances can be touching or not, but they are done up close and personal,,,,, straddling the customers lap,,, right in their face etc

they have table dance where the dance on a table in front of you, but don't grind on you lap. Then they have lap dance in which they grind on your crouch, its kind of like dry humping.
Some places it is illegal to give lap dances. But they usually pretty much come off the table into your lap when no ones watching.

There is no difference if the girl dances on your lap in both dances.
