In the summer time it has been known to hit 115 degrees, but it is a dry heat. I will take that over 90 degrees, and 95% humidity any day of the week. Plus you can't beat 55 degree winter days. Of course this is in the desert area of Az. When you get up towards Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon you can get freezing temps and snow.

Not right now, it isn't. But between May and October...you better believe it!

At least that's true in the desert areas. Many people don't realize the great extent of geography we have here. There is a great swath of forested land near or over 7000 feet extending across central Arizona from Flagstaff to the New Mexico border. Summer temps in those areas are much nicer...and they do get snow in the winter.

Generally yes (in the Valley of the Sun) ... and we love it !! You don't have to shovel sunshine.

However, we have had the strangest winter this year. It even snowed in areas of Phoenix. A couple of days ago it was 85, but today only in the 50's.

During the summer our temps can reach 118-122 ... 112-115 is more the norm. They have to shut down the airport at 121 due to the air being so thin; not enough lift for the planes. That's only happened a few times.

Phoenix summer is brutal. You cant even drive, and it is too hot to sleep at night. The heat is a huge inconvenience.

it depends on the region and the time of the year.. Miraculously though, the more years that you live there, the less hot it seems through time. Your tolerance really builds up
