It seems a lot of countries that used to have monarchies are switching over to democracy now. DOes anyone know some of the countries that have Presidents now? All I know is America and France. Did South American countries or Mexico veer have kings and queens?

America is not a country, it's a continent. A more accurate question would be what country is still a monarchy, once that the vast majority of countries in the world are republics. No country in America is a monarchy, the only one that used to be was Brazil, it was abolished in 1889. Exception for the Canadians that are "loyals to the queen" (pfffff, lol).

You don't have to be a democracy only because you're not a monarchy, and you don't nescessarily is not a democracy even though you're a monarchy, cause in many countries the monarchs are simbols, they don't govern, they only collect money from the people so that they can appear on the news.
