How much money do large animal vets make?

It really depends on where you plan to practice and what type of clinic you would be offering. I'm a retired vet to my horse ranch and still retain a few private clients but my facility is also open to the public because I'm the only ranch in my area to offer hydro-therapy.

If you are going to become a vet- don't do it based on the money. Veterinary school takes a lot of time and a lot of money. You would be better off going to school for 4 years and gettting a degree in something like accounting if you are just looking to make money.
Being a veterinarian is a 24 hr job, and it takes 8 years and quite a bit of cash to get there. If you aren't into it for the animals then you are in it for the wrong reasons.

tremendous animal vets and farm vets are kinda the comparable component. Its merely what they communicate approximately. A vet could paintings with the two tremendous animals and livestock by means of fact they're very simular. wish this helps you in any respect :)

a lot. my parents are the bosses of their own vet clinic, and even though they do make a lot of money, we aren't rich or anything.
it depends how good they are. like my parents have something around 5,000 customers, and even more patients. so they make a lot of money, but vets just starting out might have a tougher time.
