THIS SOUNDS LIKE A TYPICAL PROBLEM THAT OCCUS WHEN YOU DEVELOPE A HEATER CORE LEAK. THE COOLANT\MOISTURE IS HARD TO GET RID OF WHEN IN DEFROST. I'VE EXPERENCED THIS PROBLEM SEVERAL TIMES. THE CAR IS OF AGE AND THE HEATER CORE CAN BE CORRODED AND LEAKING. THIS IS USUALLY CAUSED FROM LACK OF COOLING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE. HE COR IS A DIFFICULT TASK IN REPLACING IT. TRUST IT TO A REPUTABLE REPAIR SHOP INYOUR AREA.

There is a probability that something has fallen down the defroster vents that is now holding the blend and mod door in the wrong position. This will require disassembly and inspection/repair of the heater-A/C system.
