Wireless Adaptors for xbox live?

If i buy one of those Linksys wireless adaptors will i still be able to connect to my wireless router for xbox live?Microsofts wireless adapters are very expensive and i heard this brand (linksys) is much cheaper. Will it work?

I don't own a 360, but I heard that you can't plug an Ethernet (Cat5 UTP) cable into a 360. If that's true, the Linksys adapter probably doesn't work.
