Just want to see if most Conservatives think the same way I do on this.

There are no "specifics" to my question. I want to know what other Conservatives think is NORMAL - not deviant or abnormal.

Attributes: A quality or characteristic inherent in or ascribed to someone or something.

A normal American family should posses great love and obedience to God.

Respect for their leaders and people they encounter every day.

To me a normal American family is as follows. 1: You have 2 parents in the family supporting their children them self & not the state or Federal goverments. 2:teaching their children their values in life , not leaving it up to the school or MTV. 3:teaching their children to earn their way in the world through education &hard work Be proud of who you are & always be in charge of your own life & let NO one tell you you cant do it. I wish someone had told me these things when I was growing up. It would have saved me a lot of headaches.

I don't know how to describe normal. But I'm a traditionalist, yet I raised my 2 daughters and one son alone without a mother. I am very conservative

I'd guess that you're thinking of an "ideal" American family that confroms to your values.

The "normal" family statistically speaking is liable to be more like the Simpsons and fall well short of your ideals.

As America is a melting pot, how can one size fit all? If you are referring to homosexuality, I agree that a man and a woman as parents constitute a "normal" family in every country to include the US. Could you be more specific?

Thanx for additional info:

A normal American family constitutes two divorces, some type of chemical dependency at some point. An "average" of one abortion per family. A 70% chance of at least one act of infidelity by either spouse. Grandparents being shipped off to die in an "old folks" home as they are perceived to be a burden by 75% of Americans. A greater possibility of a child being raised in a broken home.
