There is a place to play softball. If it is really cold outside you should practice in the gym. But if it is hot practice on a nice field like in the park some where.

In the early days of baseball, not only did every pitcher throw underhand, but the batter could request a pitch at a certain height. I'll bet you didn't know that.

AN underhand delivery is easier on the arm, even for a man. A woman's shoulder and elbow are not built in the same manner as are a man's, and overhand deliveries are even more of a problem for a woman than for a man.

Get over the weird thing and think long-term.

there's no baseball league i know of that doesn't allow girls to play. i used to play baseball, from when i was 7-12, but you get treated differently. not that it can't be done, but the older you get, the harder it is to keep up with the guys. they're just bigger and stronger and there's nothing you can do about it. i switched over to softball (fastpitch), when i was 13 and i hated it at first. the underhand thing is a lot different and the first time i hit off the pitching machine i missed a whole bucket of balls. i stuck with it though and now i'm one of the best players on my team. baseball gave me a good foundation and taught me more of a work ethic, but softball gave me more opportunities & playing time. plus, it's easier to bond with you teammates when they're girls. no gross stories, and "have you seen my cup?" :)

I can totally relate. I am a girl who plays baseball. For me, I just play on my local "in-house" league, and they let me. But I do know that the Detroit Danger are a girls baseball team who compete under baseball rules and against other girls teams. Try doing some research, and I hope you can settle on a baseball team you enjoy!

Yes there are all little leagues and other youth baseball organizations allow girls. There are even a few women in semi-pro baseball. There was even a real profesional woman's league at one time. The movie ALeague of Their Own is about the first year of this leage and it is in the Hall of Fame.

You should be able to sign up with a local league or if your still in high school depending on which league your school is affiliated with. If your really good there is actually still a girls professional baseball league.
