I believe my hermit crab is molting, but the hole it dug to go underground was bigger one day then it was the last, so I think it has come back up which I've heard is a bad thing. It's in a corner where it can see through and I'm afraid that the light might be affecting it. Is it affecting it, and if it is what should I do?

You could always turn the light off but if it was affecting it then it wouldn't of dug the hole there. And they often come up to get more food or something to drink so don't worry about that. It knows what it is doing and anything you may do to try and "help" it may actually make it worse.
