People who are beginning to realise that their country is increasingly hated in the rest of the world and are willing to do something about it, and the die hard conservatives who believe their country has done nothing wrong whatsoever? Remember...we all want to rid the world of evil terrorists, but burying one's head in star spangled sand ain't gonna fix it......

I agree regarding the Middle East that European colonialism has a lot to blame for the failings in the Middle East but I would have hoped that The USA (GOVERNMENT) would learn from these mistakes of the past and try not to inflict an Amercan colonial culture in the Middle East. THAT and the unreserved support for Israel is the root cause of the problem.

I've got news for you, people resented Americans and made fun of us long before the war. I don't know how old you are, but I am guessing you are fairly young. We are the most despised and the most envied country on Earth. Its been that way since the Second World War. Strong countries are always seen that way, and that goes back to the Roman Empire. So, I don't know what you are planning to do about it.

There are a lot of things wrong with American policy. But if you think we are the only country that meddles in the affairs of other countries; you obviously don't know what's going on in the world. All of the troubles that you read about in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia are direct results of European colonialism. America finds itself in the position of cleaning up the mess now. It needs to be done, and unfortunately its not a job that garners admiration. So be it.

We are always going to hate each other because we have no moral ground to stand on. It's common sense that evil will only cause destruction. One sin is no greater than the other. So look in the mirror before you go saying it's all the terrorists fault. We are all to blame. Can't we stand up for anything? Sure it's not right to kill people, but we do it everyday to each other. We are all slowly dieing because of everything we all have contributed to this world. Drunk driving, pollution, waste...etc...etc... Someone's smoking is killing my lungs, is causing my body harm. If you want to change it then question it and do something already.

My husband and the rest of the U.S. Military work so hard to keep the freedoms that we so clearly take advantage of.

As long as the evil is still here we are going to have hate and destruction. No one is ever going to get along unless we all have the same views and personally that will never happen. Not unless we can go back to the grounds on which our country use to stand for. The values were so clearly written and I think that we need to rewrite them for a country that has not ever lived up to those values. Do you want to know the answer to life's questions? Please read the manual. Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. If we all get it right then our job will be done and we can go home.
Good luck!

I think the first sign of the US being hated by the rest of the world was the Twin Towers. No one has ever said that conservatives think that this country does nothing wrong....point is we try to fix what we do wrong and deal with what others are doing wrong to us.
I think it is the other way around....liberals stick their head in the sand when it comes to actually ACTING on all the words they wield.

As the world's only superpower, the USA will always be admired and hated. With thousands lined up for green cards and visas, I guess it's not hated as much as some people would like to believe.
