It is really not what they say, it is how they say it and how they look at you. I go by people's expressions. =)

Yes, as a matter of fact that happened to me just the other day. I stopped in at Taco Bell to get a Dr. Pepper. The workers were all standing around talking, and no one bothered to take my order or even say a word to me. I thought that was very rude so I left the store without buying anything. And to be honest, I probably will not go back to that Taco Bell ever again.

Yes, at the Wal-mart Deli a few times. It seems the people there must have been trained to make customers wait quite a while before helping them. I don't mind waiting at all as long as the worker at least acknowledges that you are there--with something like, " I will be right with you " -- that would be fine. But they did not attempt to even look at you until they were good and ready. I rarely buy my lunchmeats there anymore.

My biggest pet peeve about cashiers and clerks is when they don't greet you, speak to you or even make eye contact; ring your stuff up and then just stand there like a moron with their hands out for your money, without even telling you how much your total is. Then when you ask them what you owe, they just point to the cash register screen....I've had that happen A LOT! It's not called "customer service" for NOTHING!

Yes, by a clerk at Target. He closed his register, when he got to me and sent me to another register that had 6 people already waiting, then he just stood around and did nothing...Not sure what his problem was, but I let him know what a jerk he was being.......

Yes this has happened to me several times. It isn't what they say, it's what they don't say like a greeting of hello or at least acknowledging that you are there. Also when they fail to say thank you. Their supervisors should oversee that they never fail to do this. Chick Fil-A employees are always friendly from my experiences there.
