I watch Coronation Street (US) and we are far behind the UK watchers. Danny knows that he is not the heir to Mike's fortunate but he is keeping it a secret along with Leanne.
How does the real heir find out? Does Leanne tell him?

Yes Leanne puts a copy of the will through Adam's letterbox. Adam then goes to the lawyers and he gets his fair share of the business.
Leanne runs off, but (UK readers don't read this if you want a spoiler) apparently is coming back as a prostitute (and that's not even on in the UK yet - see link below from 20th Feb 2007)

If I remember Leanne puts the original Will through Adam's door and then she leaves the street.

Everyone is right so far. You seem to be about a year behind but keep watching. It gets better and better. There are some great storylines coming up after the Danny/Frankie/Jamie thing.

ok here's how i remember it. Mike dies. Danny and Leanne get found out so split up. He tries to pay her of with a couple of grand. She steals the will photocopies it and then gives the photocopy to jamie before leaving with a wedge of danny's cash.....

mike goes senile and starts calling leanne alma(his exwifes name) he forgets who she is and thinks shes some bird he picked up and tries it on with her .... anyway mike dies in ken barlows arms, the will is read out and danny is the heir, leanne finds a copy of a newer will made out to kens grandson,, leanne manipulates danny with this trying to get him to propose to her, when danny thinks he has a chance to get back with frankie leannes out the window, so leanne makes a deal with him that for a giant cut of his fortune she will hand over the will and keep schtum, however she has photocopied it so once she gets her hand s on the cash she gives the original to the real heir, who takes danny to court and gets 40 percent of the factory a certain amount of cash (danny has to give him the value of the house in spain as he had already given it to frankie so cant now give it back) anyway frankie gets right put off by th whole thing and hates danny, leanne leaves, the barlow boy practically gives his share of the factory to some newcomer jus to hack danny off,,(even further ahead jamie and frankie fall in love frankie is disappointed with herself and tries to get back with danny to prevent whats happening, danny finds out almost kills his son, then disappears making frankie think he is dead, and her suspicions of his murderer falls on jamie on the day she leaves jamie finds out that violet (his ex) is preggers by him and also danny is alive and well) , oh and in uk leanne has just returned and the newcomer and his bro now own the whole factory.....

mike gets alzheimers disease and Danny gets him to change his will so he gets everything Danny is very manipulative and gets power of attorney mike dies in Ken Barlows arms

from what i can remember i think leanne tells him, i could be wrong though, that was on ages ago in the uk.
