I had my membranes stripped on Thursday and I was 3 cm and 80%. Afterwards I started seeing blood tinged mucus and was loosing little bits all day and part of the next then it stopped. Then Friday night I started having contractions about 15 min apart for a few hours then nothing for an hour and then they came back at 15 min apart for a few hours. This has been going on since late Friday night. Also this morning I lost another big glob of mucus that was a lighter shade of blood and the contractions are still coming and going. Does this mean that I could be in labor and that I have dialated some more since I lost more plug or am I still in waiting for the real thing. I am also 41 weeks today and the doctors office is closed so I would have to go to L&D to get checked, which is fine. Just wanted some opinions first. Thanks

I personally think you should go. What you're having is bloody show. Usually contractions start within 24-48 hours. You've been having contractions for awhile and you're dialated pretty far, to still be at home. I was dialated to 4 cm. when I went to the hospital and they admitted me, so I think you should go. You should be dialated even more now. Good Luck & Congratulations in advance.

I would get ready to go to the Hospital - once my mucus plug came out the contractions began increasing.

I took a nice warm shower to clean my body and ease some of the pain, and then we packed up and headed to the hospital.

Good luck, you should have a little baby very soon.

I think you should wait a little while longer since you dont know 4 sure. If you are really worried about it see a doctor. If your contractions get to 10 minutes apart then you are probably in labor. Did your water break yet?

you do lose a plug of mucus in early stages you will definately know when the contactions start cos they will take your breath away keep an eye on things it sounds like you are due to start any time soon.i have had 3 babies by the way.the pains are strong enough to wake you up so dontbe worried about going to bed i woke up cos i was in labour with one of my grls good luck, give the hospital a call just to check procedures where you live.they are used to first time mums panicing so dont worryabout calling them .by the way i had 3 kids no waters broke without help so dont wait for waters to break in case you are same

It doesn't matter if your doctor's office is closed....They certainly have an answering service. OB/GYN docs are on call 24/7, and you need to call and get his/her advice. Probably you'll leave a message and doc will call you back asap. That's what you pay your doctor for, and I know my doc was more upset when I "didn't want to bother him" with questions. He said answering my worries was the least he could do for all of those BMW payments I was helping him make :)!

factor a million: each party has to discover volunteers to stand as applicants. no longer adequate volunteers - no longer adequate applicants. factor 2: status in a hopeless ward, even nonetheless appropriate for each and all of the national events, isn't continually useful, and, of direction, costs money. status means putting up a deposit, and publishing election fabric. factor 3: In 2007 i do no longer think of any party is fielding applicants in extra advantageous than 60% of all of the council seats up for election. there's a ward close to me it rather is rather solidly Tory. some years in the past the Tories could no longer discover a candidate. Nor ought to the different party different than Labour. So he gained the seat with the aid of default. the guy became a typical previous staunch socialist and it became fairly ironic that he spend 4 years representing a severe Tory rural ward. The Tories made advantageous they positioned up a candidate 4 years later. P.S. once you are going to quote Shakespeare you're able to a minimum of know it. "Wherefore" definitely means "why are you", no longer "the place are you". Juliet became asking why Romeo had to be from a family individuals with whom hers had a feud.
