Sometimes you have to let words go by the wayside. Friends find a way to tease one another and one of them is labeling a nickname on you. After awhile you will get used to it. As long as the nickname isn't derrogatory or hurtful, don't let it bother you. I have been carrying a nickname for a long time. At times when I am shopping I would hear this nickname and look for the person calling me. Lots of times people can't remember your real name, but do remember the nickname.

i imagine that nicknames are superb. My moms and dads named me Bette, yet i imagine that Elizabeth would have given me extra recommendations and Bette will be my nickname. from time to time human beings call their baby some thing to make a buddy satisfied - which I disagree with extremely - yet favor a popularity it really is analogous. also, if you're observed as Elizabeth or Evangeline, that are fantastically names, human beings do not continually pick to be conserving the entire call, so nicknames are sensible. and some toddlers can not spell their entire call and a nickname is a lot less complicated to spell, e.g. Emily vs Emma.

Why would you be afraid of hurting her feelings when she is obviously hurting yours? If you don't like being called something, just kindly tell her that you don't like it and to knock it off. My friends tried calling me a nickname for a while and it really ticked me off. I just told them one day over lunch that it bothers me when they call me that. Once they saw that I was serious, they let it go and stopped calling me that. It's not like you are telling her that you don't want to be friends anymore! It's not a big deal so don't act like it is or else she'll sense something,k?

the next time she does it in front of other people, laugh it off. Then when its just the two of you, tell her how you really feel...if shes a good friend, she will say sorry and stop calling you that. If she doesnt, then you dont need her as a friend!

If your friend isnt puting your feelings into focus, I dont believe she is a worth wile friend. Ask her about it, and if it doesnt stop then take awhile to get some space from her. Let her know that she has made you upset. If she truely wants to be your friend, she'll come around eventually

Stand directly in front of her, grab her by the hair with both hands. Pull her head forward and down while throwing you right knee up to make contact with her face. While your knee is still up, turn your foot sideways and then smash it down across the bridge of her foot! while still maintaining a good grip on her hair with your left hand, release your right hand and deliver several blows to her face, neck, and throat. Then tell her that when she stops crying like a little b*tch, you would like to have a discussion about nicknames!
It might not be the way you would have chosen to handle it, but I do guarantee results!

Who cares if you hurt her feelings . If you don't like it you don't like it . What kind of friend is she if she gets mad at you over that . If she doesn't stop think of a nickname that will make her mad every time she hears it . Good Luck !!!!

You're afraid you'll hurt HER feelings? What about your feelings? She doesn't seem to care much about that. She doesn't sound like much of friend either. Friends don't make fun of other friends. You have to speak up and tell her in no uncertain terms that you don't like it and she needs to stop.

Act like it doesn't bother you. If the name has no "inside joke" meaning to you and your friends it will fade with time. But if the name has a deeper meaning than 10+ years from now you'll be laughing about it.
