My computer won't boot from the CD-ROM drive and there are no BIOS updates that will allow it. I want to boot a Linux Live CD. Any suggestions?

There must be a setting in your BIOS that allows you to select the order in which the drives boot. You need to put your CD drive ahead of your hard drive in the boot order.

In the BIOS, look for an entry called Boot Sequence or something that sounds like it. then, make sure that the CD ROM is set to boot before the hard drive.

To access the BIOS settings, read the computer manual.
