I have a pretty large collection of 'sample' adult materials from the web from the past few years - all top quality stuff (i've weeded out the lame / extreme / fake stuff). I'm wondering, can I LEGALLY sell a compilation of this stuff on Ebay or somewhere else? The host site's address is always featured in the clip (usually in the lower corner), so I'm not pretending these are MY mateirals... just seems like the collecting and weeding out of this material should be worth something. Is this possible and legal?

The short answer is no you can not sell your porn collection. The reason is bit more complex. First of all you don't "own" the images, they are probably copyrighted material. As such, only the copyright holder can legally sell them. If you attempt to sell them you will most likely get sued or prosecuted or both.
If you attempt to sell them on Ebay and get caught ,your ad will be pulled offline and you face suspension or revocation of your account.

...sure, just don't sell your "stuff" to a "kid" or near where "kids" hang out... try the local X-house with the parking lot in the back and the purple lights on out front... but do be careful, if you get that "stuff" near kids... or schools, or churches...Oye !
