Yay! Labyrinth:
Jareth is definitly my fave character. David Bowie is amazing.
Jennifer Connelly was a great teenage Sarah, good acting and no whiny voice (hate whiny voices)!
What do I say about the baby? Ah yes, he has Jareth's eyes.
The goblins were great - the puppetry (a little awkward with that word) they were like magic (Jareths magic) :)

Labyrinth 2 info:
"And the final, crazy bit of news from Jim Henson's son is the studio's desire to return to the world of their cult classic Labyrinth. Henson described this idea by saying "Actually, we're talking about doing something different with Labyrinth but I can't really talk about it." The existence of such a film is highly contingent upon the success of Dark Crystal 2. This means get out there and watch DC2 at least a dozen times each and encourage your friends to do the same. And by encourage, I mean force."

Frankly, Pan's Labyrinth was so good that I no longer care about the Jim Hansen films. Hahaha.

I kind of hope that Labyrinth 2 and Dark Crystal 2 never get made, because I'm really scared that they are going to get cutesied up beyond repair and lose any of the darkness the originals managed to hold on to. I'm worried that computers, CGI and other flashy Hollywood effects will suck the soul out of the universes created in the originals.

Case in point: The Neverending Story franchise.

I love them all, so hard to choose! I guess my fave has to be Labyrinth due to David Bowie's outstanding performance. Labyrinth also seems less "dated", compared to the other two. Tim Curry was awesome in Legend, but I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise. The Dark Crystal also has some wonderful villains, and you've got to love Fizzgig.

To be quite honest, I don't know if I want to see a Labyrinth 2. I adored the first movie, and I just don't think anything else can do proper justice to it without looking like a lame sequel.

It just seems like the awesome puppetry (I am loathe to use that word, too) of the 80's won't fit into today's CGI-enhanced world.

I lucked out the day I took my 4-year old to the show. Bought tickets to something, the elderly usher shook his head and quietly sent us into Labyrinth.

I fell so much in love with this movie; then I taped it off the TV. Still have it and watch from time to time (it's now about 20 years old).

If there are Sequel Gods Up There, hear my prayer: Please do not make a sequel. We all know the only reason is $$$. But you will be destroying wonderful memories and a delightful piece of art. Amen.
