Where can I buy Harry Potter books without the cartoony covers that seem to be everywhere? I have the Sorcerer's stone in a small paperback version that has an illustration of a person in a cloak and hood running into the woods. I've found the second Harry Potter with a similarly designed cover but I can't find the others anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find them? I hate the cartoon covers.

I've seen some different covers on Ebay.

Plus on Barnes & Noble as well.

A lot of the other covers that I have seen, seem to be published & sold from England.

Good Luck on your search! :)

You should look for the "Adult Version" of the Books. Same content, mature cover design.
The UK publisher Bloomsbury has all six of them available in that version, and the design is really quite cool. They are all black backgrounds, and the first one has a large bloodred stone on the front, the next one two interwined serpents, the third an island in a stormy ocean, the fourth a goblet emitting blue smoke, the fifth a phoenix rising from fire, and the sixth a tattered old book on a table...
I think they look sooo much prettier than the cartoony ones!

Bloomsbury Publishing, 38 Soho Square, London W1D 3HB
They publish all Harry Potter books, first in hardback and, usually 6 - 9 months later, in paperback.
Any good bookstore should be able to order you those, as it won't make much sense if I sell you my two hardbacks and ship them from Europe.
By the way: the cover of the sorcerer's stone shows in the Bloomsbury edition the Hogwarts Express, both on hardback and paperback, and the chamber of secrets shows Ron and Harry in the flying car.

Some of the covers are better then others true and I can understand that you want the covers to look nice as well as all match.

Ebay is of great help as I don't know where you are to suggest appropriate book shops directly.

I didn't know other covers were available. They probably make it cartoonish for Americans who are more squeamish about kids lit possibly being a little dark.
