One of the greatest bands ever. They are an English progressive/psychedelic rock band, and the members names are Roger Waters (bass, vocals), David Gilmour (guitar, vocals), Nick Mason (drums), and Rick Wright (keyboards).
Syd Barret used to be in Pink Floyd and was one of the founding members, but he left because he went into seclusion.
Their most famous album is Dark Side of the Moon, which was on the Billboard 200 album chart for 741 weeks, the longest duration in history.
I'm not sure if they are still together or not, but Roger Waters isn't in the band anymore.

They are a classic rock band. They've pretty much settled down now, one of their founding members died back at the start of July last year (he didn't play much for quite a while anyway.)
They have really good music in my opinion. If you want to witness rock music in evolution, they're good to listen to.
