Thank you.

Well I just finished my first month's pack of birth control pills (alesse to be exact) and I took my first reminder pill yesterday and my period still is not here.

Keep in mind that I started the pill 2 or 3 days after my period had finished on a Friday night.

I have been sexually active, but all times with a condom and not all that often...

So is it just my body adjusting to the pill? Should I be expecting it soon, or is there something else? I highly doubt that I am pregnant, really but you never know...

So what do you think?

Remember, first month taking the pill, and I didn't start the proper way, I started when I wasn't on my period.. (my family doctor said it was okay)

Also, I am not stressing, because I am quite confident I am not pregnant since there are no symptoms at all...and I just really don't think I am for the bottom line lol.

It can take 2-3 cycles for your periods to become normal and accustomed to the pill. Unless you are experiencing other symptoms including pregnancy symptoms, I would just chalk it up to being completely normal. However, if in this time your cycles do not regulate, you will need to see your doctor as it's possible a hormonal imbalance has developed, of which your doctor would need to change your dosage.

Everyone's body is different. I have a lot of issues, personally with my period. The only time my period is regular is when I am on the pill. Don't worry about it, after 2-3 months, if nothing has changed, call the doctor. For the meantime, keep doing what you are doing.

Your body is just adjusting the pill... How long have you taken the pill?? They say that the pill put to sleep the ovaries and it can last up to 2-3 months without having your period. :)

I think your probably correct in the fact that your body is adjusting to the contraceptive pill. However it may be prudent to rule out pregnancy as stressing about the possibles will only delay your period further,

Good luck

With most pills you take day 1 on the first day of bleeding, if that's what you should have done with yours then that the reason for no period. Read the pill leaflet again carefully about when the pills should have started.
