I'm pretty easy going, but if I have the greater knowledge, or I feel strongly about what I'm doing, I'll take the lead. I don't believe that I need to head the pack at all times, but if I'm the right person for the job I have no aversion to taking responsibility. That said, I don't resent deferring to the judgement of someone else if they're better suited to lead in the task at hand. For instance, I'd take charge of an editing team, but would take a much lesser position in a team sport. Why? Because I'm an ace editor and I suck at sport.

Take the lead. Always.
Sometimes, when working in group, I "hold back" on purpose, but it's not easy. I am not a group working person and I do not like to be told what to do.
This doesn't mean I don't listen to other people's ideas or advice.
If this question is about sex, then I'd say take turns.

Being led. - because I like workmates leading me by giving me orders which make me have to work. My problem is I am naturally lazy, so being led by others .and having my mistakes pointed out, helps me not to be a failure at work.

i usually take the lead on the grounds that i dont really trust other people to make decisions for me but if they got a really good idea then they can lead.

I take the lead mostly, I get sore knees the other way round. Plus my dog isn't very good with directions.
