Every morning, a little bird repeatedly flies into my window from a nearby tree. It's small with a red beak, a yellow belly, and reddish wings. I live in Michigan.

It sounds like a female cardinal to me. Cardinals are one of the few birds with an orange or reddish beak. The males are bright red, and the females are reddish-brown with yellowish-brown bellies. They are also very common in Michigan, and very common in areas around houses.

If you are concerned about the bird (birds can be injured or killed by flying into windows) or the window, and you want to stop this, I've included a link. Cardinals can be territorial, and often attack their reflection that they see in the glass, although this is usually more of a problem with males and in the breeding season. It is likely that your bird is just trying to fly in or through the window, although if it's repeated it could be seeing its reflection. Either way the link below will help.

what you're able to do is purchase some scissors that have a sort of bend on the top and wrap the chook in a dishrag or some thing heat and fluffy to calm it. Then clip the outer longer wings(approximately 6 or 7 of them) time-commemorated as "flight feathers". Clipping those will save the chook from having the flexibility to fly and he or she will only 'fall with variety'. to aim in case you have clipped them properly, carry the chook on your arm and drop your arm. The chook will instinctively attempt to fly off of the risky pirch and the two fly a number of 0.5 flow/0.5 give way. do no longer hassle the clipping doen't harm th chook and could could be finished approximately as quickly as a month or in case you notice the chook fairly able to fly faster then you quite could flow forward and clip them returned. For extra help with this see in case you will discover a chook breeder on your section or ask somebody at a puppy keep.

The little bird flies into your window every morning because what he sees is the reflextion of the tree he just flew out of. He is most likely to belong to the Passeridae family of birds which encludes the Sparrows. Not being familar with the birds in Mich. I can't tell you exactly what sort of sparrow he is.

He's going to be really brain dead if you don't put a sticker on the window to show it is not open space.
