In order to carry out photosynthesis, plants need water, carbon dioxide, and light.

The photon, which is a "particle" of light, strikes the photosystem and sends up an electron. Eventually, the electron travels down the electron transport chain, generating a proton gradient across the chloroplastal membrane. This is essential for the production of ATP, or the energy used to power cellular activities. This ATP contributes to the production of glucose sugar from the carbon dioxide. Photosynthesis primarily takes place in the leaves of the plant in the thylakoids of the chloroplasts.

For a more detailed description of photosynthesis, try searching Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org) or other internet biology pages.

Photosynthesis is the approach by which plants, some bacteria, and some protistans use the means from photo voltaic to produce sugar, which cellular respiration converts into ATP, the "gas" utilized by all residing issues. The conversion of unusable photo voltaic means into usable chemical means, is linked with the moves of the golf eco-friendly pigment chlorophyll. fairly some the time, the photosynthetic procedure makes use of water and releases the oxygen that we actual might want to might want to stay alive. Oh sure, we want the nutrition as well!

the energy of the light (sun or light bulb) will be use to build sugar using basically CO2 and the protons or hidrogen of water. Oxigen of water is not needed and so it is released to the air. All the machinery is in the plant leaves, you know chlorophile (I don't know how to spell it, sorry) and other factors that are not major effectors or that explain the process to a deeper level, but the main parts are those.

light water and c02
as well as somewhere for it to take place.(eg chlorophyll in the plant leaves)
