al east: yankees, they have the best hitting and a better overall pitching staff than the sox

al central: tigers, they have a bunch of young kids that will only get better with time, especially their pitchers

al west: angels, for whatever reason they seem to get it done every year no matter who's playing for them

nl east: mets, they are the best all-around team and have some late-season experience, but watch out for florida

nl central: cardinals, they have a great pitching staff and guys who can get on base for albert pujols...the brewers will be improved but not enough for a playoff run

nl west: dodgers, only because their pitching should be good and their division should be awful as usual

al wild card: white sox, they have the pitchers and bats to get into the playoffs even though they play in an extremely tough division(well, outside of kc)

nl wild card: marlins, all their young talent has a year under their belt and they were heavily involved in the wild card chase last year, which should be enough to make the playoffs this year

al champion: yankees
nl champion: mets
world series champion: yankees(i'm being a homer too, but my team's a little easier to pick than yours)

Without Liriano I don't think the Twins will make it this year...but I'd like to see it happen...big fan of Santana and Mauer.
