I think number one is n=1/8

16^n=8^n+1
-8^n -8^n
8^n=1
\8 \8
n=1/8

Most of the time it's just rearrangement
16^n - 8^n = 1
8^n = 1
And which power always gives you the integer 1?

2^2n = 4^-2
2^2n = (2^2)^-2
Try this by yourself.

sqrt(2^4x -6) = 4^x + 2
2^4x -6 = (4^x + 2)^2
Easier now.

2^5x * (16-x) or is it (2^5x * 16) -1?

1) 16^n = 2^4n
8^n+1 = 2^3(n+1)

2^4n = 2^3(n+1)

4n = 3n + 3 n = 3

2) 2^2n = 2^-4

2n = -4

n = -2

Others are done the same way.
