you can find your winxp key by searching google for keyfinderXP, a software that can recover your key by running it on your cpu. write down the key and run the winxp cd or anybodys copy and when prompted for the key simply enter the one you got from your cpu.

Yes you can. If you have the Windows XP disk. In some instances you will need to contact Microsoft to get a new Activation code but don't be scared to make the call. 80% of the time they will give you a new code; no questions asked.
When you get to the activation screen on setup answer that you want to get your Activation code via the phone.

Yes...reformat the partition and reinstall your windows xp...Note: this does delete everything on the partition so save anything you are wanting to keep...files..images...etc.
Just google how to do a clean install of whichever xp you have home or pro.

In *my* experience, yes. (And in fact there are times, like mine, in which you may even *have to*, as in the computer goes south due to overheating and you have to rebuild the sucker from scratch...grrr.)
