Chickens have sex kinda like dogs, only with feathers. Roosters take hens from behind.

Well, hens will lay eggs whether they are mated or not. Nearly all the eggs you buy in the store are from virgin hens.

As far as positions, have you ever seen birds mating? I'm guessing chickens mate pretty much the same way...
