So I am English and two of my mates are as well. early 20's and I've been to Dublin loads and loads of times (some of the best times of my life). Any chance of some ideas from those who've been to Dublin or live there how to convince my mates who think that Dublin will be a crap weekend, to get thier arses over there?

I think i've tried everything except paying for a flight out of my own pocket!

The music is great and they are your neighbors so it should be a a country you'd visit.

However, I think I've stopped trying to convince friends to go to a destination. If they go and have a bad time, they'll remind me ad nauseum. So I either find a willing companion or go solo.

Just tell them Temple Bar (an area in city-centre dublin) is full of drunken women, Irish and otherwise everynight of the week.
And actually the club scene in Dublin now is huge, really exploded and theres always loads of gigs on.

After that just let them off and go over with someone else
