nth term is (or rather, can be described by):
f(n) = -n^4/24 + 5n^3/12 - 23n^2/24 + 43n/12 - 1
note that f(1)=2; f(2)=5, f(3)=9, f(4)=14, & f(5)=19
There are in fact an infinite number of polynomials (with degree > 4) which will describe the given data. The fourth degree polynomial shown above is the one of least degree.
NOTE TO sg_iit: your equation does not work at n=5
NOTE TO Minski: your pattern fails at n=5 as well.
why do others insist on the question being "wrong", rather than their answer?

seem on the varieties. For the right of the fractions you have 3,5,7,9,11. you basically upload 2 to 11 and you get 13. For the bottow you have 4,9,14,19,24. you basically upload 5 to 24 and get 29. So the respond could be 13/29 oh woops discover the nth term yeah meh forget approximately it everybody already replied

nth term,
formula for nth term is ,
tn=a+(n-1)d
where a is the first no. of the series and d is the differnce between two no.
therefore a =2 & d=5-2=3
applying the formula
tn =2+(n-1)3
=2+3n-3
=3n-1
so nth term of the series is 3n-1

I think there should be 20 instead of 19 in the sequence.
try this formula:
nth term= n+(n-1)st term+1

your question should have 20 instead of 19 i think, so that the difference proceeds as 3,4,5,6 etc.
you can generalise it as
nth term tn = n + tn-1
tn-1= n-1+ tn-2
and so on

Are you sure that ur Question is correct ???? I doubt about the 5th term i.e. 19..............
difference between consecutive nos. is increasing. Then it should be 6 after 14...i.e. 5th term shuld be 20.
My answer works for that case.....if ur question is correct then the answer might be obtained by curve fitting.....
Tn = n * (n+3)/2
This will work only if u correct the question.
