Not really. Discharge is natural and a certain number of women discharge at any time during a month, not always around their period. The best way to regulate your period is to take birth control or keep track of it on a calendar.

Usually finding discharge means that you're hormones and body are getting ready for a period. I would add that I got discharge for about a year before I actually got my first period, so you may have to wait a while but in general, it does mean that you're on your way.
