Morning glories are nice and re-seed themselves. The seeds easily spread and they will grow wherever they fall so you won't want to plant them near a flower bed that they may become a nuisance in.
There is also an ornamental bean vine that's easy to grow. Not only does it have stems of flowers resembling wisteria but the purple seed pods are also very attractive.
Members of the clematis family are quite nice. The hybrids are nice but I'm particularly partital to virgin's bower which also grows wild. It flowers profusely in late summer to early fall.

Carolina Jasmine has beautiful fragrant small yellow flowers and is a climbing vine. It has no thorns and smells wonderful in the spring and summer. Helps with privacy and the bright color is like eyecandy. If you ever sell your home, this vine could also help increase your ability to sell for more. Improvements are great selling tools. Good luck.

Sunflowers are annuals - so plant them this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and dig them up whilst they end flowering. Having a mattress basically with annuals is a standard thank you to get an exceedingly colourful backyard - in spite of the certainty which you would be terrific cautioned to purchase waiting grown flora because it fairly is a splash late to be sowing seed for summer time shade now. there are various annual bedding flora around in supermarkets & at backyard centres besides as inner maximum persons freely giving or merchandising affordably the excess from whilst they sowed their very own annuals.

Try morning glories. They're not thorny, have lots of beautiful flowers, and come in blue, violet, or white. Follow instructions before planting--I've found them hard to get going. I understand they like sandy soil best, but don't take my word for it.

Passion flowers are pretty and the flowers smell like raspberries. The leaves are pretty too. I am not sure if they are poisonous. I have two dogs and I have never had any trouble.
