Biologist, writer and ecologist Rachel Carson ('Silent Spring', 'Under the Sea Wind', 'The Sea Around Us', 'The Edge of the Sea') would have been 100 this year. Her voice is deeply missed -- as it is, we lost her far too early.

When E.B. White was interviewed by the Paris Review they inquired about what books he read. He said that between The New Yorker and his own work he didn't have much of a chance to read, but that "I was deeply impressed by Rachel Carson's 'Silent Spring'. It may well be the book by which the human race will stand or fall."

I can think of no greater praise for Carson's work and no better a writer to make this accolade.

I have been passionate about writing and conservation for two decades now. For the last year I have been committed to bringing the two together in an effort to join those on the ramparts of doing well and doing good by the environment. To that end I hope to produce a body of work (including a book) that will help sound the alarm over the serious threats the planet's eco-systems are facing.

The book I'm working on will focus on one specific eco-system and spend a year looking at the various wildlife, habitat, changes and interaction that place experiences in the course of four seasons. I hope that this work will demonstrate that if each of us can find "One Great Place" and make it vitally important to us (and, when called upon, act on that passion), we can all have a meaningful impact on this globe.

While I'm finding my own voice, I consider Carson, Aldo Leopold, Gifford Pinchot, and John Muir as inspirational examples that merit emulating to varying degrees.

So I guess my answer is I would write about "My Great Place" in an effort to do what I could to protect that corner of the world.

The "real" {KABALLAH} and i would not write this book using meaningless words. Instead, i would draw as well as use symbols to simply show people how our heavenly {FATHER} actually created the greatest heaven, ever by producing "ten" magnificent and glorious angelic beings. For example, Cherubium was the most powerful as well as beautiful.

I would write about a teenager outcast who finds a friend in a lonely boy at her school who is nerdy and a klutz. They are teased alot, but then discover that they are alot alike, and team up in a gameshow, winning a trip to Europe.

It's possible to skip ahead and avoid writing about a long drawn-out trial. But you need to think very carefully about if this serves the story or not. Whatever, you have to serve your stories.

uhhhhh...Melons...cuz I like them and they're tasty...they're like sugar-water you can chew! =^-^= I had a melon last week tho but it was out of season T_T it was all hard and icky and made me sad. I would write about all the uses and ways to eat melons, like when you carve a watermelon into a basket shape and then make Honeydew and canteloupe melon balls with little faces!!! AND YOU EAT IT AND HAVE A PICNIC!!! YAY! And the book would be like Washington Carver and his peanutbutter uses 'cept with melons! MELONPOPS FOREVER!!!
