My grandfather was very sick and suffered like 7 years before he died. But 2 weeks before he died we noticed that his skin was so pink and beautiful, cheeks were full and nice. We even thought he was healing..But then he died. Then i heard some stories from other people that when people approach death, they become beautiful...I wonder if anyone else heard that?

I guess that's possible but I experienced the exact opposite a couple weeks ago when my friend died after a long battle with an auto-immune disease.
I tried to visit her at least twice a month to check on her and make sure she didn't need anything and to clean her house. Two days before she died I visited her, and she looked worse than I had ever seen her look. To tell you the truth, she looked like she was already dead. I knew that she didn't have much time left, and I was right.
I'm glad that you had a better experience with your grandpa.
Peace

I'd say - for the largest part, this is just a "last-leg-of-the-journey" wishful RUMOR!
But of course, there may be exceptions - such in your granddad's case. Perhaps his beatific qualities just before death, were graced by the final bout with suffering. In other words : his suffering was coming to an end, so that he relaxed, fought no more and RESTED - while relinquishing his spirit to death!

Yes, my dad's cheeks were rosy for a week before he died, but the smell of death is the worst. It's that smell that looms the room, my mom brought my dad home, so he could die in his own room. The whole house smelled like death for about two months and then he passed and it still smelled bad for at least several more months.

They have been kissed by the Angel of Death, and in many cases death is a beautiful thing, especially if there is suffering involved.
