When charcoal burns, it tends to burn incompletely, which leads to the formation of carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide will prevent oxygen from being carried to the tissues of the body by hemoglobin, and so you can die from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Charcoal procdues carbon monoxide when burned and when burned in any confined space enough toxic gas will build up to become a silent and deady killer. Don't do it, air conditioned or not!

Burning charcoal generates carbon monoxide, which kills you by binding to the hemoglobin in your blood. The air conditioner does not remove the monoxide from the air.

People burn charcoal briquettes inside for cooking, or for heat. The smoke contains some carbon monoxide - CO, that is VERY toxic.
That is why wood stoves, fireplaces, automobiles, etc. all exhaust their smoke outside.
So if you want to commit suicide, just run your automobile with the garage door closed ...
