I had owed some bills and a collection agency came a knocking but I wasnt going to pay them as I did not owe them, aperiod of years went by and then I was given a lawsuit by their attorney, they said they were trying to collect the bill so I talked to the people I owe and paid them, I have receipts for all the bills paid in full and now they sent me this paper saying I am just trying to get out of paying court cost,we didnt even go to court!. I have all the proof I paid these bills, what are they trying to do? why dont they just drop it since the bills have been paid? isnt that what they wanted?

BarB, that would be understandable IF we went to court, we havent ever set 1 foot inside court and filing is free here.

Because they are pissed off that you went around them and paid the company, thus preventing them from getting their collection charge from the company you originally owed.

You should owe nothing more.

That's not how it works..you FINALLY paid the original debt but the collection agency has incurred court costs in trying to get you to pay. You will have to reimburse them for those.

Should of paid the bill in the first place. Lesson well learned, I'd say.

Send them copies of your receipts certified mail and tell them to stick their harassment letters up their ***. Horse **** the collection agency cannot collect once the debt is paid off . collection people are a bunch of blood sucking vultures . and can go **** themselves
