mother Teresa deserves more recognition of course. look at it this way. if Diana hadn't married into the worlds most famous family you can be sure she wouldn't have toured the world looking doe eyed into peoples eyes. she would have probally been just another Sloane ranger.
mother Teresa would have done her work even if nobody even knew she existed as she was only doing what her lord called her to do. I'm not a great fan of the roman catholic church as I'm a raging prod lol but even i can see the work she was doing was truly worthy. she lived amongst the poorest and most need people on the planet and never turned anyone away. Diana went back to her palace every night .
although Diana did bring a lot of publicity to her causes she also got a lot out of it by way of publicity for herself. Teresa used her publicity to help her people and not further her own agenda.

You can't even put Diana in the same book as Mother Teresa let alone the Same page!!

Mother Teresa definitely. She lived amongst all the squalor and actually made a difference. Diana was just in it for the publicity and to make herself look good. Couldn't stand the woman. Mother Teresa didn't make dodgy phone calls or stalk anyone as far as I know.

Mother Teresa. While Diana did do alot, Mother Teresa devoted her life to the less fortunate.

I think there is no comparison between the two & so it is impossible to answer this question.
Although I will say that, in my opinion, perhaps a person who did selfless acts & sacrificed all her life for others might deserve more recognition than someone who looked good in designer clothes. Okay, she did bring people's attention to charities like the landmine one etc. but that was a very small part of her extremely pampered life.
I do realise that my opinion on this will probably get me reported for a violation of some sort but I believe that having been asked my opinion it is only polite to give it.

Mother Teresa, because she actually established programmes for the care of the poor and frail and tried to instigate social changes in India to ensure a 'catch-net' for the most vulnerable of society.
Diana didn't leave much of a legacy, except a gaping hole on the front pages of the celebrity magazines. She did some publicity work about landmines but she only publicised the workings of groups who were already there - she didn't set up anything new.
