You can try to reinstall your CDROM drive or buy a new one and install it. Go to control panel and double click Add Hardware and then follow the instructions.

I had a similar subject countless months in the past. I definitely have an older Dell. i attempted equipment config. some instances, yet could no longer discover CDROM. i attempted different stuff as properly, yet no luck. Then I spent a impressive style of time looking Dell internet site for solutions. got here upon a Dell consumer communicate board and study a lot of stuff earlier i got here upon something approximately CDROM reader/force. Mine grew to become out to be quite elementary. Others had a similar subject. All I did became take off the right panel of my perplexing force to get to the CDROM reader. guess what, I had a loose connection. it rather is all it became. those issues pop in and out real actual. It took approximately 5 minutes. I wiped clean it up a splash in there, re-related the reader, began the pc returned up, went returned to equipment configuration, and "bam", there it became. i desire that fixing your subject seems to be as ordinary as mine. solid luck.

Only thing I can think of is the CD-Rom files themselves are corrupt. I would suggest trying to get drivers from http://driverguide.com and see if that helps.
