Yesterday I was shooting around (basketball) and I looked at my Ipod and its screen was faded. How can I fix this?

I also put it to charge and it won't charge.

If you mean that it was blank or looked turned off, then you can try to reset it. To do this, I believe you hold the middle button and the menu button (the top of the wheel) for 5 seconds. It should restart (your songs will not be affected). If this doesn't work, your battery ran out, and you need to leave it connected to the computer for a while. Then the computer will recognize it and will start to charge.

I had a 3rd generation ipod whose screen faded and it was very hard to see anything on the screen without the backlight. In my case, they told me that the screen was simply worn out and something like this rarely happens.
Do you have an older ipod?
If it doesn't bother you, you could just keep your ipod and have trouble seeing the screen forever since there's no way to really repair it unless you get a new LCD screen for the same iPod which would cost about $150

I say just buy a new ipod if it bothers you. It's a few extra bucks than getting a new screen but it's worth it with a great big color screen.

NOTE: If your ipod is less than a year old, i think apple can fix it or replace it for free. They all come with a one year warranty.

Good luck

go to settings, then backlight timer and click always on. if that doesn't work go to settings and brightness. then make it go all the way.
