Too much Beyonce?

Question

I respect Beyonce as a person and artist, but how much Beyonce is enough? From her C.D. to her over publicized performance in Dreamgirls, to the Sports Illustrated cover, now to the Oscars. If I hear the song "Listen" one more time I think I am going crazy! Doesn't "Listen" remind you of a poor imitation of Whitney Houston's performance in "The Bodyguard" and her song "I Will Always Love You"? Does she deserve this much attention when she's average at acting, and singing; and she only has a pretty face? Remeber that one year at the Oscars when Beyonce sang like 4 songs, and most of the time it's rare to even sing one song there. (The duet with Josh Groban for the Polar Express, she sounded like she was trying too hard to stand out). Beyonce is O.k., but do you think she's everywhere, and soon the public will get tired of her?

Why would I be jelous? I think Beyonce= wanna be Whitney Houston. If I would be jelous of any singer and wished I could sing like them, it would be Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. I just think there're better artists out there, that could get more attention.

Just dont listen to if it is going to bug you. You sound a little jealous, BUT<--- I do agree that she is everywhere alot but she is a great singer.

I have to agree she is everywhere i think she just needs to lay low for a while. Her songs are constantly played on the radio every minute. I even brought her B-day CD and now I'm wondering why because the radio plays all the songs that i like on the radio and just for the record I am a beyonce fan but her cd wasn't that good. But anyway beyonce is supposed to be the hottest chick in the world according to ask men .com and now she is on the cover of sports illustrated and next she will be coming out with a remix to B-day. What else can she do? win a oscar (sometime in the future). I love beyonce but she is just too overexposed. You never hear anything about the other members of destiny child and even if they do mention destiny child the only member they can recognize is beyonce. I wish they would talk about Kelly and michelle a little bit more. according to rumors sports illustrated is selling more issues this month than any other magazine. I mean this girls parents know how to promote her but what about the kelly why doesn't she get this much publicity when her Cds come out. Beyonce is number one right now i guess its just her time to shine.

I think the public is already tired of her and that is why she did not win any of the previous awards. I have never liked her music but I have respect for all music. I don't understand why all these stars let themselves become overexposed because when they do the public does start to hate them. Even Jennifer Hudson when she first appeared I was happy she won instead of Beyonce but when she keeps appearing everywhere and repeating her answers they are not original anymore and I have seen and heard enough of her too. I wish they would be smart like in the old days and we never got to see them except when they were performing and that was not every time I turn on my TV. They should limit their appearances so we will be happy to see them instead of oh no not her again. Now that I have saw all the nasty hating remarks I have to add I cannot stand to hear her sing I consider it to be torture. She should not even be mentioned in the same category as Whitney or Mariah you were nice to describe her song as a poor imitation. If I am hating it will not be happening to the music of Beyonce.

yeah girl i totally agree with you, and what gets me that the reason that she is coming out with a spanish CD with all her hits is because she has fans in latin america that like her, come on beyonce ( i aint hatin but you don't sound good at all in spanish)
stick with english. i'm not hating i respect her as an artist and actress. but i have my limits too and singing in spanish is not for her. sorry.

totally agree, she is way overrated. im sick of most people nowadays. what i really cant stand is when either a singer or actress says that their life dream is to do the other. come on now, they arent that talented, its called editing. dont get me wrong she does have a good voice but i dont really care for her.

I think she needs to take a VACATION, and give people a break. I do think that she is overrated, but she does have talent. She just needs to let it rest sometimes, b/c right now it is overkill.
