It was definately DOOM. I remember back before Win 95, we had to manipulate the extended and expanded memory for DOS so that DOOM would run properly. It's funny... I had it down to an art, and now I don't know if I could even remember how to do it. LOL. Great question.

Zork, if you want to go old school and Text based games. Double Dragon was pretty good.

I think it is out of Duke Nukem 3D or X-Wing or even Monkey Island.....there are so many to choose from.

discworld, based on terry pratchetts books, warped, funny and stupid.... great fun, trying to find a windows version now, got discworld 2 but its not the same without rincewind hahaha
