I've heard of Porto's in Glendale is a great bakery. Are there others in neighboring cities where I can get a beautiful and great tasting Bridal Shower cake? My sister is hosting the party she needs some ideas please. Any ladies (or men) or bakers have any ideas where to shop for this piece of fancy bread? (Let me know the price of the dough too please :)

Porto's really is THE BEST and there is now a location in Burbank if that is more convienent for you - it is at the corner of Hollywood Way and Magnolia. YUM YUM! You cannot go wrong there!!!!!

Porto's is the place to go..... it is worth the travel time..... it is the only eating establishment I have seen in Los Angeles that is continuously packed with customers..... I have never bought a cake there but I know they are quite reasonable with other food items.

Sweet Lady Jane's.
Beware, it's costly ($30-50), but they have the most impressive, yummy cakes. (They're known for providing wedding cakes for celeb weddings, too....)
