Face it, without new breakthroughs in medicine, more people would die from diseases, and then there wouldn't be the need for so much of the stuff that causes global warming. So if we quit having medical research, we could reverse global warming. I realize that this idea is ridiculous, but so are a lot of the other scenarios people like Al Gore have come up with.

Most "greens" already recognize that over population is one of the reasons for this. Most, however, suggest voluntarily limiting the number of children you have to 1 or 2, or having children much later in life, rather than taking medicine away.

The main nation involved in creating global climate change is the USA. So, the removal of medical support should likely be done first in the USA. As an old guy, I am not particularly in favor of doing away with medicine.

Anyway, that is not the answer since you are considering global population growth as a cause of climate change, most of the growth is coming in countries which do not have very good health systems. Can't take away what they don't have.

People like Al Gore have tried really hard to get people to pay attention to the scientifically endorsed explanations of what is happening, but there are a lot of people who are just too ignorant to understand what Al is saying. Too bad. The USA has had a pretty good run but we are cutting our own throats by ignoring this issue. I guess our lack of science education is finally catching up to us.

Overpopulation is a real problem. My solution would be to take all the ppl over say 55 and subject them to compulsory euthanasia using a sort of lottery. I would do it in alphabetic order, Start with surnames beginning with A in the first year then B in the second year etc.

It would bring some excitement having the draw on tv every weekend.
