How about this for a nice change from the usual Halifax ego-fest?

Scene: three senior banking staff waiting in an office for a candidate to come into the room to be interviewed for a position as a bank manager. Door opens and an overweight, rather plain woman in a trousersuit comes in. They invite her to take a seat, but rather than talking about her banking experience, she stands in front of them and bursts into song, X Factor style. They stare at her, puzzled, and she starts crying and pleading with them to "put me through!" They politely explain that they are actually looking for banking staff, not wannabe pop stars. Exit fat woman in trousersuit, crying.

What do you think? Would Halifax get the message and stop torturing us with its terrible ads, or do we have to move our accounts for that to happen?

I dont have UK TV so I wouldnt know what you mean. But here in SA we actually have some good ads. One of them is for Grey something or other and it shows people running and climbing over each other carrying bags and buckets to get on top of a hill, only to see they are chasing a rainbow. Of course it moves so they continue running towards another hill.

Thier pay off line is that some people spend their whole lives chasing instant weather, but "we" know that it take patience.
