To be a dolphin Trainer, you need a degree in Marine Biology or related field of study.
Handling and training dolphins is much more than meets the eye. All you see is the fun of it. Behind the scenes they take care of sick animals, and spend long hours bonding with the dolphins and feeding them. They need to have the dolphins undivided trust and attention.
Once you have the Degree you will get good pay. Sea World has to pay good wages in order to compete with the many jobs out there in Marine Biology and Study. I believe these trainers start out the first year at about $50,000 and can get upwards of $75,000. This is the type of job where the longer you do it the more you make. So you need to stay in the job to make the higher figures.
These Dolphin Trainers work with aprentices that make much less ($30,000) but they are learning the trade and they work with the dolphins under the Trainer/Manager. The secret is to get your foot in the door. Have some college and maybe work summers first. See how you like it and then work forward.

To me this sounds like a wonderous job. I say "Go for It".

don't know. But if you want that job - you're probably going to need to go to college and get a degree in biology or a related field. It's not the sort of job that they hire off the street for...
