Because you spend too much time at school having to be indoctinated with nonsense so the teachers don't have time to teach you everything that you really need to know. A little investment in some homework now will improve your ACT or SAT scores, give you entrance opportunities to better universities, and eventually a career that you will be happy with. A lack of knowledge will leave you working in mundane jobs that you don't enjoy. Whatever it is that you are interested in, pursue your education. It will pay off in more ways than one!
