Read-Only Memory, ROM is a type of memory that is capable of holding data and being read from; however, it is not capable of being written to or having its data modified. Unlike RAM, ROM is capable of keeping its contents regardless if it has power or not.

eg: EPROM, EEPROM, PROM.
