Myself and my new girlfriend have recently started having sex. She is taking the pill, and i use a condom, but only towards the end of having sex. Should i be using it for the entire duration of when we are having sex or is it safe to not use it till the end? Is there a risk of pregnancy doing it the way we are?

On "Mythbusters", the disproved the 5 second rule. You know- the one where "food is still clean if it's on the floor less than 5 seconds". Turns out, whatever is going to get onto the food is on it in less than a second- right after contact. Fun.

Same goes with sex. Unless you've both been tested and are clean, and you can completely trust each other that you aren't sleeping around with other people, you NEED a condom.

Apparently a few people above me didn't read this whole thing. She's on the pill- so as long as she is "religous" about taking it, there's a 98% effectiveness in it as far as preventing pregnancy.

A condom at this point protects from STD/STI's. Putting a condom on at the end does nothing. You need it on the entire time for it to do it's job of preventing STD/STI's. If you love yourself and your girlfriend, you should be wearing it the entire time. STI/STD's can be transferred the second you begin intercourse.

Hope this helps. And I hope this makes sense.

Good for you to use birth control. YES..put it on at the BEGINNING!! There are MANY babies running around this world from condom failure. You can definitely make a baby if you don't put it on right away. Also, you're not protecting against STD's if it isn't used immediately and throughout the duration.

You should use it for the whole time. If her pills aren't fully effective she could get pregnant by "pre-ejaculate". It still has sperm in it and comes before you ejaculate, and you won't even know it!! Also, condoms are there to protect you from STD'S as well. YOu should always wear one whenever you have sex, for the whole time. They are even recommended for oral sex because some STD's can still be passed.

I would use it the entire time that you are having sex, it only takes one sperm to get you pregnant.

Put it on before you touch her! You are protecting yourself and her from the beginning.
