In a previous question I asked how to set up my router and stated several problems i have had. I have tried almost everything anyone can think of. One of the answers someone said this "Have you read the instructions and followed the part about setting up your router using IE and the IP address they supply?"
Where do I get this information. There was only an installation cd that came with the router. It is a Netgear Rangemax 240 Wireless Router WPNT834

Actually you go to their website. Click on products (upper left), find the RangeMax 240, and then click Support on the upper right. Look for Reference Manual on the left. Or just go to
The web config address is http://192.168.1.1 (this is typical for routers), the username is admin, the password is password (see page 4-8).
